The Common - Eltham

For the owner of The Common in Eltham, Victoria, energy efficiency and sustainability were major topics when planning the coffee shop and apartments above, and Paarhammer provided the answer.

Made in Victorian Ash and stained to the colour of choice, the windows and doors were double glazed to achieve high energy ratings, and allow light to flood the interior giving the building an inviting feel for patrons. An interesting build, and with its striking corner roof, the café makes an architectural impression in Eltham.

The Common is by no means common.
